Can art help with body image?
Dear ,
Why do people model for artists?
Could life drawing help with body image issues?
As an artist who draws from life, I celebrate human imperfection and am passionate about representing real bodies.
This Saturday at 3pm BST, I am giving a short public talk from the gallery about my experiences of life drawing and how it can be a powerful, constructive and transformative process.

Pictured here with Cheryl, one of my models who features in the Get Real exhibition.
“Breast cancer relentlessly stripped away everything that I deemed as feminine and beautiful about my body and appearance… I was bruised, broken and in pain but the universe introduced me to the very talented Gail at exactly the right moment. I love life modelling. I love that it’s empowering me with an awareness that a scarred body is an interesting and unique body of light and shade” — Cheryl

If you've read this far, I want to thank you with all my heart! I appreciate all interest and support very much. Have a great weekend, whatever you're up to,
Gail x
